Pacific Place Wayfinder

Art direction and design consultancy for an interactive way finding system.

Developed and produced by Imagination for the high end luxury mall “Pacific Place” in Hong Kong. As part of a major renovation and refit the mall was re-designed by British architects Heatherwick Studios to include a new interactive way finding kiosks placed throughout the development.

Labmeta was contracted to contribute to the concept development of the way finding system, partnering with an Interaction designer to critique modern way finding systems and build user centric, intuitive navigational assistance across a multi-site development project. Our solution was to develop a 3D model of the space that was explorable and always aligned to the direction of each individual kiosk. Each setup of directions to be dynamically generated from the users point of view.
